Summary

This person will be a member of a multi-discipline team adding value to the assets through capital reinvestment and application of solid reservoir management skills. Working in concert with team geologist, production/facility engineers, and field operations to identify, develop, and execute waterfloods and CO2 flood development projects for operations in the Permian Basin.

Educational requirements: BS or higher degree in Engineering - preference to Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ablility to use Petroleum engineering principles to solve problems and identify enhancement opportunies.
  • Proficiency in reservoir engineering and pattern management practices including, but limited to, material balance, injector optimization, conformance improvement, flood pattern surveillance, and performance forecasting.
  • Ablilty to make technically and economically sound recommendations with 75% of the data/information available.
  • Good overall practical oilfield operations knowledge.
  • Ability to improve the profitability of a field using reservoir analysis.
  • Understanding of Oil and Gas finance in relation to reserves and economics.
  • Ability to understand typical well-logging suites.
  • Non-supervisory, but expected to take leadership roles in projects.
  • High proficiency in all required technical and economic software packages.
  • DSS-Working knowledge of Production Management Software.
  • Data management and manipulation capability.
